Founded in 1979

During a gathering of the Rodeo Alumni at the Canadian Finals Rodeo in 1979 a proposal was made to organize a Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. Further meetings were held resulting in the Canadian Rodeo Historical Association being formed. It became a registered association on June 19th, 1980. In 1981 the Association was granted tax free status as a charitable organization by the Government of Canada.

Our Mission

An association founded by dedicated rodeo enthusiasts, “To honor and distinguish outstanding contestants, animals and builders in the Canadian Rodeo Arena. ”Our aim is to annually induct qualifying individuals to the Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame and display artifacts of the history of pro rodeo Canada.

Three categories are established: “Contestant, “Builder” and Animal.

To date there are 149 inductees in the Hall of Fame.

After being without a home for several years, and being a non profit organization, the board of directors of the Canadian Rodeo Historical Association is now looking into possible locations to house the artifacts and honour the inductees.  To support this search, and to appear on our sponsors page, please submit any donations to the Canadian Rodeo Historical Association."
